Guided Hiking in Carmarthenshire
THE WALK:

This is a seven and a half mile circular walk in the upper Towy Valley which starts and ends at the pretty little village of Rhandirmwyn, our route will take us into an RSPB nature reserve where we can also visit Twm Sion Cati's Cave. The terrain covered includes minor roads, green paths, farmland and woodland paths. 

 

FACILITIES:

There are two pubs, and a small shop in the village, there are toilets in the pubs. There are no facilities along the route.

 

WILDLIFE:

This is the ideal walk for bird lovers, as well as the majestic Red Kites which soar across the skies you might catch a glimpse of the pied flycatchers, redstarts, common sandpipers, dippers and grey wagtails that inhabit the area.

OUR TIPS...

The terrain can be wet underfoot in places, we'd recommend that you wear at the least a pair of good stout walking shoes or preferably a pair of hiking boots.
