LLYN Y FAN FACH

Western Beacons, Carmarthenshire
Guided Hiking in the Brecon Beacons
THE WALK:

We have a variety of routes in this area, all of which are full day, moderate routes ranging from a distance of about eight to eleven miles, all of which visit the legendary Llyn Y Fan Fach and the ridge of Bannau Sir Gar. Terrain covered includes stone tracks, hilltop paths and open moorland.

FACILITIES:

There are no facilities along this route. There are pubs and shops in the nearby village of Llangadog.

WILDLIFE:

The nearby village of Llanddeusant is home to one of the Red Kite feeding stations which helped to save the birds from extinction. The project is still in operation and at the right time of day dozens of pairs of the birds can be seen heading for the station.
