ARAN FAWDDWY

Southern Snowdonia
Guided Hiking in Snowdonia
THE WALK:

Nestling quietly in Southern Snowdonia, the peak of Aran Fawddwy has to be one of Wales' best kept secrets! This ten mile walk takes us through the beautifully unspoit Cwm Cywarch to reach the peak where our hard work will be rewarded by one of the most spectacular views in the country. Terrain covered is mostly mountain footpaths.

FACILITIES:

There is a toilet in the car park at Cwm Cywarch, there are no other facilities along the route. There is a pub in the nearby village of Dinas Mawddwy.

WILDLIFE:

Mosses, heathers and bilberry all abound in the valley of Cwm Cywarch, and we might well catch sight of a peregrine falcon, red kite or chough flying overhead.
