Brecon Beacons
THE WALK:
This is a seven mile circular walk which follows the towering ridge of Fan Hir before taking us to the shores of Llyn Y Fan Fawr, one of a pair of lakes in the area which is steeped in myth and legend. Terrain covered includes grassy paths and open moorland.
FACILITIES:
There are no facilities along the route, there are toilets near Craig Y Nos and the Penycae Inn and Ancient Britton pubs are nearby.
WILDLIFE:
This area of the Beacons is home to many common varieties of birds, wildflowers, mosses and fungi.
