THE FAN DANCE

Brecon Beacons

THE WALK:

This is a nine and a half mile circular walk that visits four of the Beacons best loved peaks, Pen Y Fan, Cribyn, Corn Du and Fan Y Big. Penyfan is the highest peak in the Beacons at 886m and is a mecca to hillwalkers, we'd recommend doing this route mid week to avoid the crowds. Terrain covered includes mountain paths, open moorland, rough stoney tracks and a minor road.

 

FACILITIES:

There are no facilities along the route. There are shops, pubs and cafes in the nearby town of Brecon.

 

WILDLIFE:

This area of the Beacons is home to many common varieties of birds, wildflowers, mosses and fungi.
